over the decades - hair and headwear
I really like how headwear has changed so much over time and how things go in and out of fashion. A lot of the headwear shown below is very much in fashion at the moment such as the headscarf but it has been adapted slightly so that the material is tied ontop of the womans head. The floppy straw hat of the 70's is also a very popular headpiece in the summer.

new brief - postage stamps
We were given a variety of briefs to choose from and I went with the brief where you have to design 6 postage stamps celebrating the influence and creativity the fashion industry has bought to the UK.
I found these images and thought they were bright a bold which stamps should be in order to catch your eye.
An idea I have at the moment is to produce 6 images showing headwear from the 20's to the 70's as it has changed significantly every decade. Off to the library tomorrow to see what I can find.
